Portfolio > The End of Time (2014)

This series of eight paintings is inspired by the Quartet for the End of Time by Olivier Messiaen. I don’t see a conflict between my atheism and the religious connotations of the piece. I feel much affinity with the piece’s meditative mode and its capacity to elicit synesthesia-like experiences that I try to capture in my painting.
